“Embrace of Colour”

This vibrant watercolour celebrates the bold beauty of a richly coloured protea, surrounded by layers of vivid pink, crimson and fresh green leaves. The intricate petals unfold around the deep central bloom, creating a sense of strength, abundance and natural energy, while the soft mauve wash in the background provides a gentle contrast that allows the colours to shine. The loose, expressive brushwork gives the piece a contemporary character, capturing not only the form of the flower but also the feeling of life and movement within it. “Embrace of Colour” is a joyful celebration of nature’s richness, resilience and the beauty that emerges when colour, texture and form come together.
